Constant comparison of circumstance

nd.
Yup that is what is left of my incredibly deep blog post.  It must be a sign that I was getting to personal or something... if you are interested in a bit of what my post was about (I won't be recreating it), it was based on a Relief Society lesson today that came from this General Conference Talk.  Yup I'm totally convinced I must have been spilling more than I should have... basically I realized two things about myself today:

1- Pride has many faces (envy being one of them I struggle with--even though I don't wish those I envy harm)

2- I am not proud in the sense that I think I'm better than others; but in general I am too proud to accept help feeling like I should just be able to do it on my own.  The evidence of the past year + indicates that fact clearly.

Anyhow, I'm not going to be more detailed than that for fear my post will disappear again.

  1. I have been seriously struggling with envy lately. I tell myself constantly to appreciate what I have and to realize that other people's circumstances are so challenging. But I struggle...

  2. I've been doing some soul searching lately and had some recent revelations that have really knocked me off my feet. I need to be better. Pride, envy - and all other facets of the "natural man" have been on my mind a lot. They are sides of our personalities that we don't like, and I think we all struggle with them. I am making a valiant effort to be better... but it's scary how easy it is to fall back into bad habits.
